Wyman Bowers will take the reins at the HIE, which is governed by South Carolina Health Information Partners.
Mr. Bowers previously was COO of Midlands Orthopedics based in Columbia, S.C. He also previously served as associate general counsel for the South Carolina Medical Association.
He is the first permanent, full-time director of the SCHIEx.
