These two devices are the first wearables to get the official green light from MLB.

The Motus sleeve is equipped with a number of sensors to assess pitchers’ performance and prevent injuries to the throwing arm. The Motus sleeve has already been tested by a number of teams. MLB gave the sleeve provisional approval last year, according to the report.

The Zephyr monitor is built into players’ shirts. The wearable gathers data on heart and breath rate. The data can be used the team and by the players themselves, according to the report.
