Tennesee’s National HealthCare Corp. names CIO

National HealthCare Corp., a Murfreesboro, Tenn.-based healthcare services provider, has named B. Anderson Flatt its new senior vice president and CIO.

Prior to joining National HealthCare Corp., Mr. Flatt served as senior vice president and CIO of Corizon Health, a Brentwood, Tenn.-based correctional healthcare contractor. He has also held positions at Cigna-HealthSpring, AIM Healthcare Services (now Optum) and Hospital Corporation of America.

The Nashville Business Journal has recognized Mr. Flatt as its 2015 CIO Award Winner, 2014 Health Care Hero of IT and as a 2011 and 2012 Power Leader in Technology. In 2011, the Nashville Technology Council also awarded him two awards: CIO of the Year and Volunteer of the Year.

“His knowledge and experience will benefit all of our operations,” said Steve Flatt, CEO of NHC. “Andy has established an outstanding reputation for innovation and results in the realm of information technology, an area that will continue to be a critical part of the effective delivery of care for our patients.”
