The appointment-only outpatient clinic will open at St. Vincent Anderson (Ind.) June 6, and another will open on the St. Vincent Evansville (Ind.) campus June 14.
A multidisciplinary team dispatched from St. Vincent’s Indianapolis transplant center will travel to the satellite clinics to provide initial in-person presurgical evaluations. After the initial visit, onsite specialists will teleconference with transplant physicians at St. Vincent’s Indianapolis location, and any additional testing will be completed at Anderson or Evansville hospitals.
The program aims to improve patients’ experience by cutting hours of travel to Indianapolis and expand accessible health services in Indiana.
