The patient flow system allows patients to skip the waiting room and move directly to available exam rooms. The Advantages system, integrated with the Epic EHR, allows staff members to:
• Monitor which exam rooms are available
• Know patient name, location and reason for visit
• Know how long a patient’s visit has been
• Know whether a patient is waiting for a medical assistant or provider
• Know whether the exam, imaging or lab work has been completed.
Versus Advantages OR, a similar patient flow system, is utilized in Providence Medical Park’s outpatient surgery center.
