National eHealth Collaborative Board of Directors Elects New Officers

The National eHealth Collaborative has announced its annual leadership transition, which includes the election of new board officers and board members.

NeHC is a public-private partnership that accelerates secure and meaningful use of health information technology through education and stakeholder engagement to advance health and transform healthcare. The NeHC nominations committee makes recommendations to the NeHC board of directors and membership on board elections. NeHC board officers are elected to a one-year term and board members are elected by the NeHC membership to serve three-year terms.

The new officers are:

• Chair Janet Corrigan, PhD — Independent Consultant
• Vice Chair Tom Fritz — CEO of Inland Northwest Health Services in Spokane, Wash.
• Treasurer Paul Uhrig, JD — General Counsel, Executive Vice President of Legal & Finance and Chief Privacy Officer of Surescripts
• Membership & Communications Committee Chair Bill Spooner — Senior Vice President and CIO of Sharp HealthCare in San Diego
• Membership & Communications Committee Co-Chair Michael Barr, MD — Senior Vice President of Medical Practice, Professionalism and Quality at the American College of Physicians
• Nominations Committee Chair Leslie Kelly Hall — Senior Vice President for Policy of Healthwise

The following four members were elected to board of director roles, some of which have already served terms and were also elected to be officers:

• Laura Adams
• Janet Corrigan, PhD
• Tom Fritz
• Paul Uhrig, JD
