The partnership will allow radiologists to access evidence-based guidelines at the point of care and improve sharing of data to increase care quality. The arrangement will allow MGH and the ACR to leverage data from more than 2,000 providers that use PowerShare, according to a news release.

“The ACR is making it easier for radiologists to participate in national registries and federal regulatory programs, which are so important for demonstrating value in healthcare,” said Mike Tilkin, CIO and executive vice president of the American College of Radiology in the release. “By providing a connectivity framework that leverages tools such as PowerShare, we automate the process of collecting and submitting Physician Quality Reporting System (PQRS) quality measures and other registry data on behalf of radiologists.”
