King's College Hospital launches Allscripts Sunrise EHR

London-based King's College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust has implemented the Allscripts Sunrise EHR.

After selecting Allscripts' Sunrise platform in December 2015, King's College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust launched it in an unprecedented amount of time.

As one of the United Kingdom's largest teaching hospitals and leading tertiary centers, King's College Hospital trains more than 750 physicians, 300 nurses and 900 dentists each year.

"This was fantastic work, managed very capably, and resulting in a seamless launch," said Professor Julia Wendon, medical director at King's College Hospital. "I'd like to express my thanks to the King's and Allscripts' teams for their hard work and focus on driving the successful rollout of Allscripts Sunrise. The new system will provide us with an even greater opportunity to transform the care we deliver through the use of better technology for the benefit of patients and users."
