HITSC and the NwHIN Power Team aim to better understand the effectiveness of the exchange’s specifications. The NwHIN Power Team, which was created by ONC to define the NwHIN’s standards and policies, has requested input from people that should specifically include those “who have implemented [the exchange’s] specifications in organizations other than Federal agencies,” according to the post.
The NwHIN Power Team wants feedback on the following areas:
• Implementing the exchange’s specifications.
• Setting up the required operational and administrative infrastructure.
• Using the exchange to meet operational needs.
Comments are due Dec. 15, after which HITSC will make recommendations to ONC on future development of NwHIN specifications.
