MLS team to wear Saint Luke’s jersey patch

MLS’ Sporting KC plans to wear jersey patches featuring the name and logo of Kansas City, Mo.-based Saint Luke’s Health System in 2026.

The two organizations said Dec. 12 they struck a multiyear agreement that also makes Saint Luke’s the official healthcare and team care provider of the soccer franchise that plays in Kansas City, Kan.

“As Kansas City’s healthcare provider for nearly 150 years, Saint Luke’s is deeply committed to supporting our community,” Saint Luke’s President Julie Quirin said in a news release. “This partnership reflects that commitment, uniting us in a shared mission to champion health, wellness, and pride across Kansas City.”

A Saint Luke’s spokesperson told Becker’s the health system isn’t releasing financial terms of the deal. Sporting KC’s previous care provider was Kansas City, Mo.-based Children’s Mercy, which also had naming rights for its stadium.
