Hospital Compare uses CMS data and hospital datasets from more than 4,000 hospitals to provide hospital-by-hospital comparisons. With this tool, hospital executives can track and compare their facility’s performance based on various parameters, including 64 quality measures as set by CMS. The five fundamental comparison domains are readmissions/deaths, outpatient imaging efficiency, structural measures, timely/effective care and value of care.

Outside of comparison metrics, Hospital Compare also includes information related to hospital ratings and availability of services. The analytics tool can help physicians, patients, payers and executives track current performance standards and address issues at a given facility, according to Innovaccer.

“One can’t improve what one can’t measure, so we came up with an intuitive way for the healthcare community to track, and compare the quality of care metrics that’ll help organizations save a lot of time, as they are easily able to discover the best practices and its requirements,” said Abhinav Shashank, CEO and cofounder of Innovaccer.
