In China’s remote areas, healthcare providers don’t necessarily have the skills to read image diagnostics, but artificial intelligence technologies could help them.

The Huawei-Philips Cloud Healthcare solution integrates Philips’ personal healthcare, disease diagnosis and treatment, management expertise and system platform with Huawei’s complete IT infrastructure, internet of things connectivity and cloud AI capabilities. It helps physicians more easily identify patterns from large volumes of data and helps cloud and machine learning more precisely determine how much a patient’s disease has advanced.

“We have already tested some solutions on the cloud platform provided by Huawei and obtained very satisfying results. In the future, Philips and Huawei will work together to push healthcare solutions into the market,” said Ludwig Liang, population health management director for the greater China region at Philips.
