CSFBASICs, or CSF Basic Assurance and Simple Institution Cybersecurity, is a simplified version of HITRUST’s existing cybersecurity framework. Its goal is to help small and low-risk healthcare organizations meet regulatory and risk management requirements given their limited staff and budgets.

The CSFBASICs program, which is in its final pilot phase, is scheduled for general availability in the third quarter of 2017.
