FBI names new CIO

Gordon Bitko, who most recently served as section chief of the FBI’s support services transformation office, will assume the role of CIO of the organization this month, according to a statement from the bureau.

Mr. Bitko joined the FBI in 2007 and in 2009 created the performance management unit of the resource planning office, which he ran for three years before being promoted to the senior executive service. His background spans more than 15 years of policy analysis and engineering in various positions in both the private and nonprofit sectors.
