The YouScript software is designed to analyze a patient’s risk for adverse, drug-related events based on his or her prescriptions and genetic information.
“The deal is a step forward for pharmacogenetics when a company like Epic recognizes that this tool is widely needed. We need to know who will benefit from this intervention and we need to know what we will do with the information within the EHR,” said Genelex CEO Kristine Ashcrasft, according to the report.
