Epic, Cerner, athenahealth join the Argonaut Project: Could it improve interoperability?

Health Level Seven International has launched the Argonaut Project as another response to the JASON Task Force’s recommendations for improving interoperability.

The project’s objective will be to accelerate development and adoption of HL7’s Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources through a FHIR-based API to expand EHR data sharing based on Internet standards and architecture style, according to a release.
