The event features product reveals and conversations about the EHR vendor’s software at its sprawling headquarters near Madison, Wis.
“At UGM, Epic organizations from around the world present innovations and discuss shared challenges in peer-to-peer sessions and focus groups,” an Epic spokesperson told Becker’s. “We expect about 7,000 attendees.”
On Aug. 20, founder and CEO Judy Faulkner (possibly dressed in costume?) is set to give an executive address, while senior vice president Sumit Rana will walk attendees through the company’s research-and-development roadmap.
Like much of healthcare, Epic has lately been focusing on generative AI. The company has also continued to consolidate its market lead, with Roseville, Calif.-based Adventist Health the latest big health system to switch to the EHR.
Previous Users Group Meetings have facilitated a partnership with Microsoft and the development of an Epic app by UChicago Medicine.
