Oracle Health spent the first half of 2026 accelerating its push to remake healthcare technology through AI, expanding its footprint across the Department of Veterans Affairs and introducing new interoperability tools, even as the company cut hundreds of jobs tied to its former Cerner business.
Here is a look at Oracle Health’s biggest moves in 2026, as reported by Becker’s:
June
- Oracle held its earnings call and stated it expects its Oracle Health business to achieve double-digit revenue growth in fiscal 2027, fueled by an AI-driven modernization of the Cerner EHR platform. The company also said it is expanding outcome-based pricing for clinical AI tools, including models tied to patient throughput, as healthcare organizations look to improve access, reduce wait times and increase efficiency.
- The Department of Veterans Affairs rolled out its federal EHR system, Oracle Health, to four additional facilities in Ohio and Kentucky, marking the agency’s second wave of deployments in 2026. The VA plans to install the Oracle Health EHR at 13 medical centers in 2026, beginning with the four hospitals in Michigan in April, with the goal of completing the program by 2031.
- Oracle completed a round of job cuts, with 539 taking place at the former Cerner campus in Kansas City, Mo. Some of the laid off roles include clinical roles, as well as regulatory and compliance roles.

- In April, Oracle Health was designated a CMS-aligned network and launched a digital check-in solution that uses CLEAR’s identity verification technology to help patients securely share health information and complete registration without paper forms. The initiative supports CMS’ “Kill the Clipboard” effort, enhances interoperability across healthcare networks, and is already being used by Atlantic City, N.J.-based AtlantiCare in its ambulatory care workflows.
March
- In March, Oracle Health expanded its AI-powered, multimodal voice- and screen-driven assistant, Oracle Health Clinical AI Agent, to 30 medical specialties.
February
- In February, Oracle Health expanded its Clinical AI Agent to automatically draft clinical orders during patient visits, including lab tests, imaging studies, prescriptions, follow-up appointments and referrals. Using ambient listening technology, the tool captures visit conversations and generates orders for clinician review, building on its existing AI-powered note creation capabilities.
