The health system will spend $20 million to deploy the new EHR system. CareConnect went live at OhioHealth Mansfield Hospital and OhioHealth Shelby Hospital March 10.
“We will be able to share information from the hospital to the outpatient setting much more seamlessly,” Gavin Baumgardner, MD, vice president of medical affairs at the Mansfield and Shelby hospitals, told WMFD.
Epic currently stores more than 200 million patient records within its system.
