“The initial deployment is eight weeks different than initially [scheduled], so you’re talking a very minimal shift,” Mr. Burke said in an interview with MedCity News. “The overall project is still on the same timeline.”
The EHR, which was developed by Cerner, Leidos and Accenture, was initially scheduled to be deployed this month. However, in May, an audit from the DoD’s Office of the Inspector General found the timeline was unrealistic. In early September, the DoD pushed back the go-live date to 2017.
Mr. Burke also said Cerner’s partnership with Leidos and Accenture is “going very well,” according to MedCity News.
