The telemedicine platform TouchCare has partnered with Carolina Partners in Mental HealthCare, a statewide network of mental health clinics based in Durham, N.C., according to the Triangle Business Journal.
TouchCare has established partnerships with individual behavioral health providers; however, this announcement marks TouchCare's first large-scale mental health partnership. Matt Hanis, chief strategy officer at TouchCare, told the Triangle Business Journal that telemedicine is well-positioned to address mental healthcare, due to consumers' limited access to mental health providers and general consumer concern over privacy.
Although TouchCare declined to discuss the partnership's financial terms, Mr. Hanis told the Triangle Business Journal that TouchCare's charge for individual providers is roughly $100 per month.
