Bain Capital Ventures led the funding round with an additional investment from Refinery Ventures. This is the first time Doc Halo, which launched seven years ago, has partnered with outside investors.

Doc Halo will use the funds to accelerate the growth of its HIPAA-compliant text and voice technology — which connects physicians, nurses and staff — along with the company’s clinical workflow tools.
