The Samsung Health app now offers an “Experts” tab, which consumers can use to request on-demand video consultations with physicians practicing on American Well’s platform.
“Telehealth has the power to truly democratize access to care and bring care home,” said Ido Schoenberg, MD, chairman of American Well. “However, consumers are far more likely to take advantage of this modern technology and convenience when it’s seamlessly embedded in an application and service that they are already using and accessing daily.”
American Well and Samsung launched their partnership in February 2017. Subsequent services through the partnership are in development, according to American Well.
