American Well and Samsung Electronics have joined forces to create new healthcare services for providers, payers and employers.
The partnership was announced at HIMSS 2017.
In the initial phase of their collaboration, American Well partners will be able to offer their services to Samsung consumers.
"Our partnership with Samsung will bring a new level of consumer reach, accessibility and ease of use to the healthcare industry," said American Well Chairman Ido Schoenberg, MD. "This collaboration is the next major step in the evolution of integrated care delivery and will have a sweeping impact on the whole healthcare ecosystem, providers, payers and patients included."
Leaders such as New York City-based NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital CEO Steven Corwin, MD; Cleveland Clinic CEO Delos "Toby" Cosgrove, MD; and Anthem Vice President of Provider Engagement Strategy John Jesser are included in the development phase of the partnership.
