The official name change was filed Friday with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, according to the report.
Dell revealed the name change in May as a way to represent the new company that will be formed once Dell finalizes its $67 billion acquisition of EMC, according to the report. The acquisition is expected to close in the third quarter of 2016.
