The partnership, called Vivre Health, will leverage Cleveland Clinic’s physician services to make remote access to physicians more available to patients, either at other clinics through telehealth technology or at home through home health services, according to a news release.

Cox, based in Atlanta, will provide the access to broadband connection to enable Cleveland Clinic’s telehealth and home health services, according to the news release. Cox currently serves approximately 6 million residences and businesses nationwide and recently announced plans to deliver residential Gigabit Internet speeds to all the markets it serves by the end of 2016.

“Healthcare transformation will be led by organizations that embrace innovation and collaboration,” said Thomas Graham, MD, Cleveland Clinic’s chief innovation officer, in the news release. “This alliance will accelerate the creation, development and delivery of solutions that will improve and extend human life.”
