Amazon to integrate cloud services with Sprint’s IoT platform: 3 notes

Amazon Web Services will integrate its cloud storage software with Sprint’s Internet of Things network to enhance users’ routing, processing and storage of IoT data.

Three notes:

1. Using the AWS cloud and Curiosity, Sprint’s IoT network, enterprises will have the ability to process IoT data locally, distribute IoT applications and forward data to the cloud to run analytics.

2. Sprint IoT network users will also have access to Amazon Simple Storage Service, which aims to help users attain business, organizational and compliance requirements through various management features.

3. “AWS IoT Core Services coupled with Sprint Curiosity IoT platform can drive actionable intelligence and business outcomes for customer IoT device data on Sprint’s next generation wireless network,” Jean-Philippe Poirault, head of AWS Telecom, Amazon Web Services, said in a news release. “In addition, providing customers with the ability to purchase Sprint’s cellular connectivity rate plans on AWS Marketplace enables businesses of all sizes to securely connect their IoT devices to AWS.”
