CFO James Parr: Improving operating margins at Salem Health

James Parr serves as CFO of Salem (Ore.) Health, a system comprised of two hospitals, a physician group and numerous clinics.

As CFO, a position he was appointed to this year, Mr. Parr is responsible for the system’s finances, revenue cycle and supply chain. Under his leadership, both Salem Health hospitals saw improved operating margins during the first nine months of 2014.

Prior to being made CFO, Mr. Parr was the director of finance for Salem Health for seven years. He was also formerly the directory of research finance and strategy at Seattle Children’s, and audit manager for KPMG and an audit senior for Arthur Andersen.
