As CFO, Mr. Hofheins keeps the organization’s 32 hospitals, 400 physician clinics and many other health and educational services financially stable. He also oversees supply chain management, revenue cycle management and real estate and construction management across Providence.
As of September, Providence was posting an operating gain of $27 million and was ahead of budget by $22 million, thanks to Mr. Hofheins’ leadership.
Hofheins joined Providence in 2004, most recently serving as CFO for the system’s Washington-Montana region. He has more than 15 years of healthcare finance experience in roles at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle and as a senior manager of accounting firms KPMG and Arthur Andersen.
In his free time, Mr. Hofheins enjoys wakeboarding, waterskiing, cycling and running.
