10 RCM headlines from April to know

From Olive selling its utilization management business to Ensemble Health partners adding 650 employees through three outsourcing partnerships, here are 10 revenue cycle management updates Becker's reported in April:

1. Ventra Health named David Scharfstein CFO.

2. Conifer Health Solutions saw net operating revenues of $324 million in the first quarter of 2023, the same figure it saw over the first quarter last year, according to parent company Tenet's financial report. 

3. Revenue cycle management company FinThrive appointed two executives to its C-suite. 

4. Seventy-six percent of health system financial leaders surveyed said denials management is the most time-consuming revenue cycle task, according to a report from Akasa. 

5. DuBois-based Pennsylvania Mountains Healthcare Alliance is installing FinThrive's revenue cycle management platform at four of its 13 hospitals.

10. Ensemble Health Partners added 650 employees in the first quarter of 2023 through full revenue cycle outsourcing partnerships with three health systems.
