Yale New Haven (Conn.) Hospital is planning major renovations for its St. Raphael campus in New Haven, according to the New Haven Independent.
The system has talked with city officials in recent months about construction of a multistory medical building. Though Yale officials said they cannot comment on specific proposals, New Haven Mayor Toni Harp confirmed that an increase in revenue from building permits in her latest budget is due to a Yale New Haven Hospital project.
"We're in negotiations with Yale as we speak about a building that they hope to build," said Ms. Harp.
