The extra $25 million investment allows the hospital to increase the project cost from $85 million to $110 million. It comes as demand for services at Memorial Hospital North has risen, according to the report.

UCHealth proposed constructing the four-story, 130,000-square-foot addition last June, which occurs simultaneously with construction of the $100 million Children’s Hospital Colorado on Memorial Hospital North’s campus.

Both projects are slated for completion next year or in early 2019, according to the report.
