Rush Oak Park Hospital wins approval for $30M ER expansion

Rush Oak Park (Ill.) Hospital will begin a $30 million emergency room expansion after winning approval from the Oak Park village officials Oct. 2, according to the Chicago Tribune.

According to the proposal, the 55,000-square-foot ER expansion project is necessary due to an increased demand for emergency services in the past few years.

Village trustees unanimously approved a special-use permit, which allows construction to begin. The project is expected to be completed in 2019.
