The facility will house 60 exam rooms, 20 infusion rooms, four procedure rooms, a children’s retail pharmacy, pediatric lab services, pediatric X-ray services and ultrasound testing, a playroom, family-focused education center, café and nutrition center and an expanded front entrance, said Rita Pappas, MD, interim chair of Cleveland Clinic Children’s.
“[The services] were across five different locations on our main campus,” Dr. Pappas said. “We still offered these services but really, we felt putting those primary and specialty care services in one building would enhance the ability of our teams to work together for patient care.”
The hospital is set to open in 2018.
