“This proposed site plan is for an addition to create a new patient tower, which exists currently as a developed courtyard,” principal planner Judy Mackall said in a memo to the planning commission, according to the report. “The project includes the expansion of outpatient services, medical and administrative services area reconstruction and 40 private bed units on the second and third floor[s], no overall increase in bed units.”
CMH CEO Dean Teague said the redistribution of beds will occur by transitioning from multi-patient rooms to private rooms.
