Here are the five biggest moves GE Healthcare made in 2022:
- GE Healthcare appointed Rodney Hochman, MD, who has served as president and CEO of Renton, Wash.-based Providence since 2016, and Cleveland Clinic President and CEO Tom Mihaljevic, MD, to its board.
- In March, GE Healthcare started development on a digital health platform that is designed to help boost the digital transformation of hospitals and health systems.
- General Electric announced the January spinoff date in September.
- The company is looking to explore acquisitions before the spin-off and in December, GE Healthcare was among the groups eyeing a $7 billion acquisition of Medtronic’s patient monitoring and respiratory business units.
- In December, the company’s board formally approved the planned spinoff and made plans to begin trading on the Nasdaq under the symbol GEHC.
