Walmart opens 70 HIV-focused pharmacies

Walmart opened 70 HIV-focused specialty pharmacies in Colorado, North Carolina, Texas, Virginia and Florida.

Located within Walmart’s pharmacy, the specialty pharmacy features clinical programs, HIV-trained pharmacists, care coordination and resources to help patients navigate insurance options, according to a June 27 press release from Walmart.

The additions are a part of the retailer’s plan to open more than 80 specialty pharmacies located in 11 states across the U.S. by the end of 2023.
