Amazon is making a leadership change at its healthcare division, with Neil Lindsay, senior vice president of Amazon Health Services, stepping down after more than 15 years at the company.
Mr. Lindsay is leaving the company to pursue personal projects and advisory roles, according to a May 27 announcement from Amazon. He helped establish Amazon’s healthcare business over the past five years, overseeing initiatives including Amazon Pharmacy, One Medical, Health AI and Health Benefits Connector.
Roy Schoenberg, MD, a physician and co-founder of telehealth company Amwell, will become the new leader of Amazon Health Services effective July 1. Mr. Lindsay will work with Dr. Schoenberg during the transition period and remain in an advisory role through the end of 2026, according to the announcement.
