Digital health: Who was up, down this week

The digital health market is constantly changing, with new startups coming onto the scene and more established companies restructuring their strategies.

Companies that had a good week:

  1. Apree Health snagged former Cerner president Donald Trigg to serve as CEO.
  2. Precision medicine and data analytics company Verily raised $1 billion.
  3. Software giant Oracle reported an 18 percent jump in revenue, fueled by its acquisition of EHR company Cerner. 

Companies that had a bad week:

  1. Digital pharmacy Medly laid off nearly half its staff and founder Marg Patel stepped down as CEO.
  2. Cloud company Twilio laid off 11 percent of its staff.
