Digital health: Who’s up, who’s down

The digital health market is constantly changing, with new startups coming onto the scene and more established companies restructuring their strategies.

Companies that had a good week:

  1. Pfizer named Edward Cox its new head of digital health.
  2. Truveta released a live dashboard with data from 25 health system partners.
  3. Somerville, Mass.-based Mass General Brigham implemented DexCare’s virtual health platform.

 

Companies that had a bad week:

  1. EHR vendor ModMed settled a lawsuit, which alleged the company had provided illegal kickbacks, for $45 million. The company continues to deny allegations of misconduct. 
  2. A ransomware attack hit Brunswick, Ga.-based Ascension St. Vincent’s Coastal Cardiology’s legacy EHR systems.
