There were more than 614,117 COVID-19 vaccine doses administered as of Dec. 21, according to the CDC. NBC News surveyed health departments in each state to gather COVID-19 vaccine data. Some states have not reported their information, the broadcaster stated.
The states that have administered the most COVID-19 vaccine doses are:
1. California: 70,258
2. Illinois: 63,000
3. Texas: 60,631
4. Florida: 49,932
5. Indiana: 40,000
