Here are four hospitals reporting data breaches Becker’s has reported on since Jan. 5:
- On Jan. 19, Whiteville, N.C.-based Columbus Regional Healthcare System reported that its May 2023 data breach has affected 132,000 people.
- Ocean Springs, Miss.-based Singing River Health System reported that 253,000 patients were affected by its August 2023 ransomware attack.
- A third-party vendor said Glendale-based Ascension Wisconsin may have been caught in a cyberattack that compromised patient data. ConsensioHealth, which provides administrative services to medical practices, reported in January that the health system was among the healthcare organizations that may have been affected by the July hack.
- SSM Health was affected by a data breach on a partner vendor, Navvis & Co. Navvis provides health management services to SSM.
