Chattanooga, Tenn.-based Parkridge Health System plans to build a $16 million freestanding emergency room in Soddy-Daisy, Tenn., the Chattanooga Times Free Press reported Aug. 22.
The facility will have 12 patient beds and be the first freestanding ER in the city.
It will be staffed 24 hours per day, seven days a week, and will cut the time for residents in North Hamilton County to travel to an emergency room in half, Mayor Rick Nunley told the publication.
