Acadia submitted a proposal to build an 80-bed psychiatric hospital in a neighborhood near BethlehemCatholicHigh School. Members of the community hired legal counsel to oppose the application, claiming the hospital’s proximity to the school generated safety concerns.
Acadia officials pulled the proposal Sept 19. The withdrawal letter did not list an explanation for the move.
