Mercy Health Muskegon (Mich.) began construction on its $271 million, nine-story hospital Tuesday, WOOD TV 8 reports.

The facility will be located at the same site as the current Mercy Health hospital. The facility will decrease Mercy’s beds from 408 to 267 because of fewer admissions and hospital stays in the area. It will also have universal care units, where patients can have consultations, tests and operations in one room.

Mercy Health Muskegon is set to open in 2019.
