The proposed $6.2 million renovation of the former hospital includes expansion of primary care, cancer care, outpatient clinical services and community health and wellness programs, according to the hospital.
The announcement comes roughly one year after the merger of Parkview Adventist Medical Center and Mid Coast Health Services, both based in Brunswick. The merged healthcare system is now Mid Coast-Parkview Health.
Mid Coast Hospital said it has already renovated roughly 9,000 square feet of the Parkview facility, which now houses the organization’s accounting, patient financial services, health sciences library and development teams. Hospital officials expect renovations to additional areas to begin in fall 2016 with the expected completion in early 2018.
