Mr. Devito was born at the medical center. Hospital executives told the Press that private donations help the hospital add new services and expand.
Jersey Shore University Medical Center is the fastest-growing hospital in the Edison, N.J.-based Hackensack Meridian Health System.
“The private gifts are so important, particularly today coming out of COVID-19,” Hackensack Meridian Health CEO Robert Garrett told the Press. “All hospitals and health systems are financially stressed, and we really count on the support of our community more than ever before.”
