Altamonte Springs, Fla.-based AdventHealth has received approval to create a hospital campus in Osceola County, Fla.
The Osceola Board of County Commissioners approved a purchase-and-development agreement with AdventHealth to build a healthcare campus that includes a hospital with at least 80 beds and capacity to expand to 200, according to a Dec. 15 joint news release shared with Becker’s.
The campus will be constructed on 20 acres at NeoCity South, a 320-acre district designed for residential, commercial and industrial growth. The phased development will take place over the next eight years.
The new hospital will expand AdventHealth’s footprint in Osceola County, which currently includes hospitals in Kissimmee and Celebration. The system is poised to bring high-wage jobs to the community, attract top talent and provide direct access to care for Osceola residents, the release said.
An AdventHealth spokesperson did not confirm cost details.
