Parker County Hospital District CEO dies; board schedules emergency meeting

Following the unexpected death of its CEO, Weatherford, Texas-based Parker County Hospital District’s board has scheduled an emergency meeting to discuss a temporary management arrangement, according to a Weatherford Democrat report.

Randall Young passed away at the age of 61 years after being hospitalized in Fort Worth, Texas. Parker County Hospital District named him CEO in 2007, prior to which he was the hospital administrator for Lamb Healthcare Center in Littlefield, Texas, and director of public relations at Weatherford (Texas) College.

In addition to serving as CEO, he headed the Weatherford Economic Development Board.

“It’s just a huge loss for us,” said David Barbrick, the hospital district’s board president, according to the report. “He was well liked by all his employees. He was just a huge asset in the community and state-wide also.”
