Magnolia Regional Health Center to roll out upgraded MEDITECH EHR June 1

Magnolia Regional Health Center in Corinth, Miss., is preparing for a June 1 implementation of its upgraded MEDITECH EHR, according to a Daily Corinthian report.

The hospital is implementing MEDITECH 6.1, the latest version of the EHR available to hospitals. Magnolia Regional has used MEDITECH’s EHR since the 1990s, according to the report.

“This is a monumental project for this organization and requires a vast amount of capital and human resources,” David Parker, CIO and vice president of technology at Magnolia Regional, said in the report. “When complete, this [EHR] should provide us with a mechanism for the future, as we deliver healthcare to our patient population.”
